MY PHILOSOPHY
BEHIND THE CAMERA

This world we live in was created with the utmost intention of beauty and perfection. Being able to see ourselves as we endure this journey through life is so precious to me. The fleeting moments disappear with hopes to have been remembered. What the camera is able to capture is such a magnificent piece of technology. These moments, either frozen in time or moving films, can not be replaced or replicated ever again. That’s what makes it so special to have them captured. In this world of ever evolving technology be sure to embrace the REAL moments in time.
I know I do, I refuse to use AI in my work. I love the “tedious” process of editing a photo or creating a film. The use of technology is so helpful but as soon as it is used to change any part of the moment, that’s where I draw the line. My work is intentional from the second my camera is in my hand to the end process of the light editing work I do. My intentions are to capture and provide you with the real life moments that happened during our shoots. I believe that the small “imperfections” add depth and reality to a frame.

MY STORY
BEHIND THE CAMERA
My grandmother has a room that is filled with photobooks of not only my life but of all her loved ones. The moments she captured are irreplaceable and when I was little I loved being able to look back on them, and more so today. Those memories of family, friends and adventures are what molded me into the person I am today. I got my first official camera when I was about 13 and it has yet to leave my hands.
I moved away from home when I was 19 to Alabama and eventually made my way out west to the Rocky Mountains where I would spend an entire decade living in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. I have hard drives that are filled with the adventurous life I have lived. Moment’s that I’ll look back on and be able to vividly tell the stories to my son of my life. The camera is such a powerful tool that will never leave my side.
After 20 years of snapping photos and creating videos my love for the camera continues to grow more and more. I never took any photography/cinema classes, just the sheer determination to learn through trial and error. The countless amount of hours spent on the computer learning and teaching myself is a testament to my dedication of the craft. I’ve always veered away from the title of a “Photographer” or “Cinematographer” because I didn’t take the classes or get a degree in photography but that is a very large part of who I am. I’m just a guy that loves to document this beautiful life we live.
