Life story: Chapter 2 The Move
The move. Episode 2 If a stranger handed you a silver platter with the ticket to your dreams on it, would you take it? Well, I did and I don’t regret a single moment of it. At the time, my life was feeling hopeless after so many denied job applications to all the national parks in the country. And, the change dispenser in the couches was running low, so that meant no more 40’s to drown my sorrows with. So it seemed like destiny was knocking at my front door. I’m not like most people, if the opportunity of something that I truly want presents itself, I roll with it and I take that chance. Most people don’t leave their comfort zones but like Jamie said spontaneous people have more fun and I sure as hell wanna live a fun life. After all, I had been wanting to go back to Colorado desperately since my parents took me there on a family camping trip when I was young. So fuck it, i’m gonna pack my backpack and go to the mountains for a few days. I’ve got nothing to lose anyways. Would you do it or am I just crazy? This life of mine is anything but your normal story and this is just the beginning of a decade long adventure in the rocky mountains that was only supposed to be 3 days long. But these three days are crucial to the rest of the 3,650 days that I spent in the mountains of Colorado, Montana and Wyoming so strap in for a second Jamie was offering a flight home for someone to accompany her on the trip back to Colorado from Alabama. I immediately threw my name in the hat and for some reason she chose to go way out of her way to pick me up. When we got to their apartment, I had no idea me, her and Andrew would click like we did. I only knew them from a couple of drunken hi’s and bye’s at parties. But, little did I know I’d intentionally miss my flight after Andrew gave me the okay to stay and live at his apartment. I mean I only had a couple pairs of clothes and the $30 I had on a gift card was already gone after going to a brewery. I was a complete bum and had practically nothing, not even a cell phone. Not to mention, my first night in Colorado ended on the edge of a thousand foot cliff after driving off a mountain and right into a tree that saved our lives. It was pretty wild, but that didn’t stop me from what held onto my heart during our adventures on day 2. My love for the mountains. Check out my merch here!! www.ivaughhhn.com/store

Life Story: Chapter 1 Where It Begins
At 19 most of my peers were heading into their first or second year of college. Me, well my head was in a self induced day dream of getting out of the norms of society. So what other to do then leave with stolen contraband to fund this day dream of ours. Crossing borders with celebratory prerolls paranoia set in, we had to erase ourselves from the internet and from our social circle back home. With a fresh slate in Sweet home Alabama this daydream became our reality and we invited one person we thought we could trust into this dream of ours. Soon enough the dream started to crack day by day, so we headed back home to houston. I became a cog in the machine for a short time before snapping out of it and taking the solo drive back to alabama to try again. What was once innocent fun, filled with punk shows and hangs at the skatepark things quickly took a dark turn upon my return to Alabama. Not only were the nights filled with blurred memories but the days passed by as I was incoherent to real life. A hospital visit cleared that inebriated state and opened my eyes. I was lucky to leave alabama alive. Although the years turned dark, I was introduced to some people that would soon change the whole outcome of my life.
